“ Another delicious evening at Bowdies. Melanie was our server again and she's awesome. I am sad she's going to Indy to open the new venue but understand why. The steak was perfect and the cream spinach was fresh and delicious. ”
“ First visit to Bowdie's attracted by it's Restaurant Week menu, uniquely offering a menu for two to share. For one entree to share plus starter, side and dessert full servings, all for a moderate price(especially for a Steakhouse). We chose two different starters, Grilled (well sorta) Caesar Salad and House Wedge. Both were excellent, and very different one from the other. The entree (10 oz Filet Mignon) was perfectly grilled and tastefully served, one separate HOT plates, accompanied by a very generous serving of sautéed mushrooms, so yummy. Carrot cake is home with us waiting for some tummy room, but it looks gorgeous. We were impressed by the entire experience from the reservation call (got squeezed in on a very busy night) to the principal server who explained the menu expertly to the perfectly prepared food, all at a reasonable price. Thus 5 stars. ”

“ The food was excellent! My wife and I ordered the bone marrow and split the wedge salad. The wedge salad was the best we had in Hilton Head. For our main dish, we ordered the Cowboy steak along with a lobster tail. Both were very delicious! The service was superb! The ambiance was dark and enjoyable! ”
“ We've been to all their locations in Michigan and had to try out their new spot in Hilton Head. It did not disappoint. Truly one of the best steakhouses I've ever visited. The filet is one of the best cuts of meat I can recall, perfectly tender and flavorful. The half chicken entree is always a crowd pleaser, too. For appetizers, the shrimp cocktail was excellent (the cocktail sauce is so potent) as was the burrata. The sides are excellent, and we enjoyed the mac and cheese and mushrooms as we always do. Service was great as well. It's in an unassuming place, just sitting in a strip mall...but it's not to be missed. ”
“ Top reviews in the area for steakhouses. Did not disappoint. Guess what, Bowdies delivered on their good reviews. It was a little difficult to find because Apple Maps locates in a nearby building, but when we found it, there was plenty of parking. Service really could not have been much better, maybe getting our drinks before appetizers, but even that would be nitpicking. But what you really want to know is "how was the food"? Oysters on the half shell - cleaned and tasty, although on the small side. She Crab Soup - one of my highlights, it was full of crab and tasted delightfully. Wedge Salad - FANTASTIC, served with special house pork belly which is highly addictive. Truffle Fries - served a a tower with house sauce and ketchup. House is delicious. Au Gratin Potatoes - wonderful presentation, fully of flavor. Green Beans - I thought this was awful, my table mates disagreed. Creamed Corn - WOW, my favorite side. Wine - we brought our own, they charged us a corkage fee but we drank the wines we liked. Kansas City - served medium with a side of peppercorn sauce, clearly the hit of the night. Chocolate Lava cake - very rich Carrot Cake - wow, luscious and rich, best split by two people. Our server, Aiden, really enhanced our visit. She made suggestions, learned what we liked and made sure to check on us during the meal. Really, those reviews can be true. ”
“ The food was absolutely amazing. We started with the burrata which was good. The filet was delicious! My favorite thing though was the au gratin potatoes. It has ruined all other potatoes for me! The charred broccoli was also good! Do yourself a favor and get the crème brûlée you won't be disappointed. The service was amazing. The staff really knew what they were talking about. They made amazing recommendations. I love the look of the restaurant. It kind of has a speakeasy vibe. ”
